For classic design enthusiasts, Ebury Street in Belgravia has long been a treasure trove of antique sellers, classic art galleries and contemporary furniture dealers. A must-visit for anyone seeking to soak up some of London’s finest design, this very special enclave is now celebrating a new addition to its street by way of award-winning design studio PINCH.
Marking 15 years in the design business, the British design makers and husband and wife team, Russell Pinch and Oona Bannon, have opened the doors to a second showroom and retail space. PINCH is a story of longevity: the furniture it produces is intended to stand the test of time and similarly the studio can be considered amongst the most established and relevant in Britain. PINCH work with a constantly evolving stable of skilled craftsmen and women in the UK and Europe to produce their designs.
Renowned for their sensational collection of refined cabinetry, upholstery, extraordinary furniture and lighting, the new spacious and light 200 Ebury Street site is a wonderful showcase of this very special British design brand. The space adjoins PINCH’s Bourne Street store, just off Sloane Square, which will now house the brand’s bedroom collection.
With the aim to “create furniture and lighting we would want to live with”, PINCH Studios’ products are characterised by a discreet and elegant aesthetic. Their approach entwines tireless refinement with an intense dedication to craft and process to establish an impressive design following both in the UK and globally. The space will now invite an even greater influx of private and industry customers to commission bespoke pieces and customise designs of which some will be available immediately to purchase and take home straight away. The new addition will further launch the studio’s upcoming product launches this year whilst also allow a calendar of in-store events and participation in the London Design Festival later this month.
Founders Russell Pinch and Oona Bannon comment, “Over the last 15 years we have worked with a commitment to designing strong shapes, using the best materials and we develop our products with exacting quality standards – having a shop has allowed our customers to get close to the pieces and to feel and appreciate their materiality. It also helped bring our story to a much wider audience.”
With a design process all about beauty in simplicity and the indulgence of well-crafted detail, PINCH on Ebury Street is an undeniable treat for anyone seeking a dose of pure British design.
