The Bishop at The Berkeley
What’s your favourite festive tradition? Whether it be admiring the city’s twinkling Christmas lights to grabbing some skates and hitting an ice rink, Christmas in London is nothing short of a delight. For the team at House of Kip, it’s the transformation of our favourite spaces and places into their own winter wonderlands. Decked head-to-toe in quintessential Alpine style and serving seasonal cocktails through the dark, cold nights, London is a city that does the winter terrace oh-so-well. As the decorations get more elaborate and the spaces cosier, we’ve shortlisted some of our favourites this year that can be enjoyed all winter long!
The Bishop at The Berkeley
THE BISHOP, THE BERKELEY
Bringing cosy, gastropub feels and comfort fare to Belgravia’s The Berkeley this winter, step inside The Bishop. A pop-up infused with heritage, the name is inspired by the mitre that originally adorned the hotel’s logo. With flickering candles lighting the rich-hued way, guests can enjoy the pub-style bar, complete with beer taps and bar stools, popular for informal drinks and nibbles. Always with a Berkeley twist, offerings include crispy pork scratchings and black pudding croquettes with house-made HP sauce.
For those seeking a more formal affair, the cosy dining room presents rustic wood tables paired with church pews where reimagined classic British dishes reign supreme on the menu, including towering burgers, tantalising lamb shanks and deluxe bangers and mash, ready to warm the soul. Desserts of course play a lead role with the fluffiest sticky toffee pudding and molten chocolate stout cake too good to refuse.
